The Division 2: Ubisoft's about-face, game will receive new content

Showing some disorganization within Ubisoft`s communications department, the French software house recently announced that it has new plans for The Division 2, the MMOFPS set in a post-apocalyptic world.

Indeed, some time ago, the company had announced its intentions to stop releasing new content for the game after the December 2020 update, namely Title Update 12.
Everything within the game, in fact, was leaning toward an end of support for the title, which, after a series of full-bodied DLC and updates, seemed to want to give way to new titles (recall that the developers are currently busy full-time on the new Star Wars game).

In recent hours, however, a statement has caught the attention of fans, since a resounding about-face has come from Ubisoft.

In fact, as you can read from the tweet just above, the developers have decided to listen to fan requests and continue to support the game with additional DLC.
In fact, one of the main passages of the tweet reads:

"Today, we are especially excited to confirm that there will be additional content being released for The Division 2 later this year! It was your passion and continued support that gave us the opportunity to build additional content for The Division 2 and we can't thank you enough for that."

In short, to the delight of many, The Division 2 is bound to be talked about for some time to come, at least until the hype around the title has dissipated completely.

What do you think of these statements? Are you happy that support for the title will last for some time to come, or would you prefer that the developers move on to devote themselves fully to new projects? Let us know your opinion!
