Rainbow Six Siege: Golden Gun mode available

Despite having previously announced it, Ubisoft had not yet announced an official release date for Golden Gun, that is, a new limited-time game mode that would make its appearance inRainbow Six Siege as part of plans for renewed support for the title, which will now boast temporary modes with special rules in each season.
Without any special forewarning, the French development studio then introduced said surprise mode into the game, thus giving the green light to users who have already been able to indulge in this welcome arcade variant of standard matches for a few hours now.

The peculiarity of Golden Gun, which will remain active and playable until next March 23, is represented by the fact that each player will be equipped with only one weapon, namely a massive golden desert eagle capable of killing with a single shot on any part of the body.
Unlike a regular deasert eagle, however, the one featured in Golden Gun will only be able to rely on one bullet at a time in the magazine, which will force players to reload slowly after each shot fired.
Needless to say, each empty bullet could pose a major threat to our safety, since it will expose us to enemy fire for a few long seconds, with no chance to counterattack outside of hand-to-hand combat.
Definitely more suitable than the popular "Artificers," the game mode chosen for Golden Gun is "Presidium," while once the game starts there will be no preparatory phase, with players being able to immediately jump headlong into the action.

Meanwhile, while it is confirmed that there may be some slight delays in the release of new corrective patches due to the Coronavirus emergency, Ubisoft recently confirmed full support for the console versions of the game with the upcoming next-gen platforms.
In fact, the discs of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Rainbow Six Siege will be fully compatible with the upcoming Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, much to the delight of all backward-compatibility advocates.
